Xbox One Controller not moving character

Hi there. My kids and I love playing Roblox and we usually use a PC or a table but recently they wanted to start playing on the XBOX. The problem is the games they have tried aren't responding to controller inputs. they can move the camera around but the character will not move. Has anyone experienced something similar?

We have never had this problem with the PC or tablets.
