Hey everyone, MysteryMagicalMyth here were today we are going to be going over thumbnails and game icons. Let's get started.
There are two ways for setting a game icon. The first way is in Roblox Studio and the second way is on the Roblox website. I will be showing you how to do that both ways.
The first way: Just open up Roblox Studio, go to the place you want to add the thumbnail and game icon into, then go to the home section and find game settings then click it.

Once click you should be at a screen that looks like the picture below.

Then go scroll down to game icon and screenshots and videos. In order to have the game icon work the game icon canvas size has to be 512 x 512.

This screenshot was taken in Microsoft paint. Once you are finished creating the game icon, save it, give it a name, go back to studio, and select it.
Now your games icon should be in this box.

Next up is the thumbnails. The recommended resolution is 1920 x 1080. If you have that frame/ canvas size the thumbnail will fit perfectly. Make sure the thumbnails are from the game. If not that will be misleading content. Once you have your thumbnails it should look like the image below.

Make sure you click save! Then update your place just to make sure. Click file, go to publish to Roblox as, select your place, go to the Roblox website, find your place in the create section, then look at the date when it was last updated.
The second way: go to the Roblox website. Go to the create section. Then go to places and find your game. Click on the place. Then go the the 3 dots which look like this:

When you click the three dots go to Configure this place. Then go to the area that says game icon. In order to have the game icon work the game icon canvas size has to be 512 x 512.

This screenshot was taken in Microsoft paint. Once you are finished creating the game icon, save it, give it a name, go back to studio, and select it.
Now your games icon should be in this box.
