After horses first came into the Minecraft I preferred (cause it was Hungarian) it took me years to figure out that horses don't just eat hay bales if you place them down, a youtuber mentioned this, and I will never forgive him.

It would be a good idea if Minecraft did feature an animal feeder though, that is required to be filled than manually hand fed or what they did with foxes. You drop the food, said animal will be drawn towards it, pick it up and eat it.
